How to Make Buying Easy

You now know that great customer service is not just about consistency. It’s also about making it easy for customers to buy from you.

Now, when I say "easy to buy”, I'm not just talking about the convenience of placing an order.

How to make buying easy

Rather, I'm talking about ensuring customers have a seamless way to engage and purchase from you.

Think about it this way.

In a sales conversation, your ultimate goal is to close the deal or get them to sign up. You need to make sure they can do it right then and there. If you think you’ll just send them a proposal or a quote after the conversation. That's a risky move.

For example, if you're having a chat with a prospect over Zoom, have those shopping cart links ready in a library. This way, you can drop them in the chat while you're talking.

Or if it's about booking a session with you, make sure your availability is on display using a tool like Calendly or a similar booking system.

The bottom line is this:

Don't make it complicated for prospects to buy from you—this can cost you sales.

Think about it. How many times have you heard a prospect say, “Let me get back to you" or "I'll place an order tomorrow"? It happens even to the best of us.

But statistics show that 80% of those who say they'll get back to you tomorrow never do. Their intentions change, they get sidetracked, or they experience buyer's remorse.

So, what's the solution? Keep it simple!

I'm not saying you should pressure people into buying. But if you delay the transaction, you're essentially hindering your own sales potential.

Just remember, making it easy to buy isn't about being pushy. It's about being proactive and responsive to your customers' needs.

And that’s a mark of great customer service.
